I'm so happy to bring these Cream Cheese Swirled Red Velvet Cookies to our exchange! I love red velvet, I honestly hate cream cheese but for some reason when it comes to red velvet cake I absolutely love cream cheese frosting. I think that's the only cream cheese I'll eat. I love red velvet so much we had a red velvet cake for our wedding.
Plus it's just pretty for the holidays!
CREAM CHEESE SWIRLED RED VELVET COOKIES
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Yield: 3 dozen cookies
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
LETS COOK:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with wax paper or spray with non-stick baking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, butter and milk. The batter will be very thick. Drop the cream cheese by the tablespoon into the batter & gently fold in. Don't over mix.
Drop the batter by tablespoons onto the baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies are set.
Cool for a minute or two on the baking sheet then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
