INGREDIENTS:
1 package butter recipe cake mix
1/2 cup cold butter
1 egg
2 cans (20 ounces) apple pie filling
LETS COOK:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat 2 loaf pans with cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, beat together the cake mix, butter and egg until crumbly.
3. Pour your apples into your pans - 1 can per pan.
4. Cover the apples with the cake mix - you just have to crumble it on top and cover the apples as best you can.5. Bake for 30 minutes or until the topping has started to turn golden brown and has hardened.

ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I used just a standard 9x5 loaf pan ~ the throw away ones you can get at the dollar store. As far as the size of the cans, goodness we got lucky! I had an old picture of the ingredients I was able to find!! They were 2 20 ounce cans of the apple pie filling ~ Kroger brand :)
